The objective of this course is to prepare students for the development, implementation, and management of reliable, efficient and easily maintained software for computing applications in sciences and engineering.

  • Fundamentals of C++
  • Object-oriented design principles and implementation
  • Project management strategies
  • Data structures and algorithms
  • A substantial project component forms part of the course

Prerequisites:

General mathematical maturity, at the level of an applied mathematics graduate, and some previous exposure to programming.
